Well, since I figured that out...

Witness my all time favorite video of all time.

A new life lesson

This is a test post to see if I can figure out how to embed things.

Update: Well, it seems to have worked. I love this video. It should be subtitled "when white straight people try to dance, havoc ensues"... I honestly love whatever he is doing there at the end (after the group of zanies has joined him on the dancefloor to that lovely oppressive communist disco music), like at 3:30 or so, its kind of a modified duck waddle.

Not so fun weekend

So, our ninth anniversary was Friday. We went out, and I thought we may join some friends at BeBar, but the weather was just totally shitty because of Ernesto. Never trust those latin men, I tell ya. ;-) So, we wound up going to Halo and then were going to go to Logan Tavern for dinner, but I guess everyone had the same idea, because at 10:30 the wait was still 45 minutes. Ugh. So we wound up going to Dakota Cowgirl, which was fine, but not all that.

The saddest part of the experience was that I didn't realize we were going out for anniversary until the next day, Saturday, when I realized what the date was. Boy, I tell ya, hearts, cards, and flowers have gone the way of the hula hoop around these parts of late. At least Ken and I did have sex a couple times last week. That much was nice. :)

Due to the continued shitteous weather, we have largely stayed at home and worked on the basement a large part of the weekend. Which is fine, but jaysus it would have been nice to get out a *bit*. Thankfully, after the baseboards go in tonight, I think we'll be ready to paint and carpet. Then we'll pretty much be done. Which is a good thing, because we should have building permits within about a week, and then construction should begin by late month.

Harry is staying with us for the month while completing a mini-residency at Washington Hospital Center. He has been a most gracious house guest. Such a good guy.

I have a second interview with a medical device manufacturer's association (I know, how exciting) on Thursday. We'll see how it goes. I leave Sunday for a quick (real quick) jaunt to San Diego to do a chapter review. I am there two days and then I take the redeye back on Tuesday/Wednesday. I am SO not looking forward to it. I need to take part of this week and acquaint myself with the necessary players there and look into their financial reports of last year. In a way I am excited since this is my first of the "new service" we have rolled out to chapters, and in a way I am nervous since I (of course) am concerned about looking like a fool or failing.

The chapter administrator there is gay, and his partner is going to make me dinner the second night I am there, so I am looking forward to that a bit, at least I'll be dealing for most of the time with a sister, that should make it a bit easier.

Been nice having four days off and sleeping in until like 10am; its gonna suck going back to work tomorrow.

Well, we have become geek central

Ken has been on a quest the last week to make our house into the biggest geekfest on the east coast. It has been a tumultuous period, as every experience with my man is.... Anyway, what we now have is a wacky wireless house with us both on laptops in the evening and a television (in the kitchen/sun room) that is connected to the internet, and both of us able to control the stereo by routing our iTunes to it. I must say it is, well, pretty cool. But we wasted *several* days that we could've used on the basement, which would have been helpful. Oh well, no worries.

Well, this is interesting...

We'll see if I keep up with this, I had a diary at Open Diary years ago that I let kind of die... I'll post tonight.
